Mid-term elections are happening soon. Are you eligible to vote? Are you registered? If you are not sure, visit the Harris County Tax Office website to check. The deadline to register for this election is October 5.

We have been gerrymandered out of the 29th congressional district which included a large portion of Houston into the new 9th congressional district which joins us through Pasadena and Channelview to Liberty County. We don't have a lot in common with the mostly rural folks of Liberty County, so if you want your new congressional representative to pay attention to our issues, it's more important than ever that the people of this community turn out to vote.

Election Day is November 3. Early voting begins October 19. Be there! Visit www.harrisvotes.com for more information.
